A pair of hand carved old wooden bookends of a girl and a boy - possibly German and dating I think from the 1940s. Each one measures 15 cm l x 9 cm deep x approx 16 m h. They have wear from age over the years - the girl figure has some wood splits on the front edge and wear on the front corner, the boy figure has a split in his hat at the front although it has been varnished. The wood is a bit dry on the boy bookend from not being waxed.
